Team Q&A: Tori McLean

This month, we caught up with Financial Planning Administrator Tori McLean. Hailing from Hamilton and Warrnambool, Tori joined the team in 2020 and moved into the Financial Planning team in 2023.

Where are you originally from?

I was born in Hamilton and lived in Warrnambool before moving to Ballarat where I went to school at Delacombe Primary School and Ballarat Christian College.

When did you join PPT?

I started at PPT in August 2020 during the COVID 19 Pandemic as a Customer Service Specialist in the Reception Team. I have also had the opportunity to assist with the internal bookkeeping and payroll, as well as assisting with administration in the Taxation Department, prior to commencing my current role in the Financial Services Team.

What is your role with PPT?

My role involves managing the onboarding of new clients and the implementation of our Financial Advisers’ recommendations.

What do you enjoy about your role with PPT Financial?

I thrive working in a challenging role that involves problem solving, developing new processes and working to varied time frames. I enjoy creating and maintaining positive client relationships and assisting them to achieve their financial goals.

What roles/organisations did you work in prior to joining PPT?

I have qualifications in the Make Up & Beauty industry and worked as a Senior Beauty Therapist at Elysium Day Spa during the week, while I spent my weekends working as a freelance Make Up Artist. I was an integral part of establishing a new location for the Day Spa and really enjoyed my time behind the scenes of the business.

What keeps your busy outside of work?

I am very family-focused and love spending time with my fur baby, Pepper. I am currently working on our new garden and weekends will often find me at the local nursery.

Are you more a winter person or a summer person?

I actually prefer Spring which is a nice in-between!

As we head towards winter, what would be your dream travel destination?

Am I only allowed to pick one?! Greek Islands, Italy or Maldives.

If you could invite any five people to dinner, who would they be?

Michelle Obama, Beyoncé, Audrey Hepburn, Anna Wintour and Oprah Winfrey.

What tv shows or podcasts are you into right now?

I have recently finished watching Baby Reindeer on Netflix, which I really enjoyed. I also really like catching up on the She’s On The Money podcast in my spare time.
